Projects
Projects let you separate monitors by environment or area — for example Production, Staging, and Dev — within the same workspace. Each project has a name and a colour, and you switch between them to focus the dashboard on one set of monitors at a time.
Manage projects under Settings → Projects.
The active project
At any time one project is active. The active project scopes what you see — your monitors, domains, heartbeats, maintenance windows, and status-page monitor pickers all reflect the project you're currently in. Switching projects switches that context.
Creating a project
- Go to Settings → Projects
- Enter a name (must be unique in your workspace) and pick a colour
- Click create
The colour is used as a visual tag so you can tell environments apart at a glance.
Renaming or recolouring
Open a project from the list to change its name or colour. Changes apply immediately.
Deleting a project
Deleting a project is permanent and removes the monitors and related data inside it. You'll be asked to confirm before it happens. If you only want to step away from a project, switch to another one instead of deleting.
Status pages span projects
While most views are scoped to the active project, a status page can include monitors from any project in your workspace — so a single customer-facing page can combine production services that live in different projects.
