Expiry alerts
Vantaj can alert you before a domain expires, giving you time to renew without urgency or panic.
Alert thresholds
You can configure alerts at any combination of:
- 90 days — early warning, good for domains renewed annually
- 60 days — recommended minimum for most domains
- 30 days — standard renewal reminder
- 7 days — urgent notice
- 1 day — last-chance alert
Multiple thresholds can be active simultaneously. For a domain expiring in 40 days, both the 60-day and 30-day alerts would have already fired.
Enabling alerts
Alerts are disabled by default when you add a domain. To enable them:
- Open the domain detail panel (click any row)
- Toggle Expiry alerts on
- Check the thresholds you want
- Choose where the alert is delivered (see Delivery below)
- Click Save alert settings
You can also configure alerts when adding a new domain via the Add domain sheet.
Disabling alerts
Toggle Expiry alerts off in the domain detail panel and save. All thresholds are preserved in case you re-enable later.
Delivery
Expiry alerts are delivered through the same notification channels you use for monitors. In the domain detail panel you can send each alert to:
- Workspace members by email
- Any notification channel you've set up — Slack, webhook, and the rest
Add or remove destinations right from the panel; use Manage integrations to set up new channels. See Alerts & notifications for how channels work.
If no destination is attached, the threshold still shows in the dashboard but nothing is sent — so add at least one channel or member when you enable alerts.
